Local Adventures; Lake Arrowhead | Aztec Falls

Lately I've been having so much fun exploring our new area. Living in VA there was never much to do or it was too far (and usually not worth it enough) to do it, so living in an area where you can step outside of your door and find something fun is great!

This was not just outside my door, but it was close enough. Yesterday Adrian, his brother Gabriel, and I took a 40 minute drive up San Bernardino mountain to a place called Lake Arrowhead. We heard about a secret swimming hole called Aztec Falls about a 20 minute hike through the mountain. We found it and, although not very secret at all, it was beautiful and so much fun. Just what we needed on such a hot day.

There were so many cool looking shops in Lake Arrowhead Village. Unfortunately we only had time to stop and check out one of them. Next time we definitely have to check out the sweet shop!

Next time we go we'll definitely do a little more planning (like have proper shoes for hiking...) since this was kind of a last minute decision. Maybe even stay a couple days up there, either in one of the cute hotels or camping. This is definitely one of my favorite discoveries in the area so far. I've been wanting to find a place where we can enjoy the outdoors more. I can't wait to visit again soon!
