This weekend we originally had plans to go to a bbq at my sister's house on the 4th and then spend the rest of the weekend with Adrian's mom. Unfortunately neither of those things happened. First, we didn't let Adrian's mom know early enough that we were coming and she already had plans to go to Las Vegas.
Second, since she wasn't going to be home we decided that we would just go to Kendall's bbq and then go home that night, instead of staying in Anaheim. Until!! Our dumb car got a flat tire on the way home from work Friday morning. We had to get towed back home and then wait until today to get new tires. I felt really terrible about cancelling, especially because it had only been a week since I last cancelled plans with her. Anyone who knows me knows that cancelling plans gives me major anxiety. Even when I have a legitimate reason to. :/
Adrian's dad felt bad about us not having anything to do on the 4th so he invited us to go with him and Adrian's step mom to a casino here in town. They've been wanting to check it out since we moved here. We had a pretty nice time. We got dinner at the buffet inside the casino, which surprisingly had really good food, and then we played the slots for about an hour. I walked out of there $20 richer so I'd say it was a pretty good night.
